In-book no 5236أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ، يُحَدِّثُ { عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، } عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ أَمْهَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم آلَ جَعْفَرٍ ثَلاَثَةً أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ " لاَ تَبْكُوا عَلَى أَخِي بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " ادْعُوا إِلَىَّ بَنِي أَخِي " . فَجِيءَ بِنَا كَأَنَّا أَفْرُخٌ فَقَالَ " ادْعُوا لِي الْحَلاَّقَ " . فَأَمَرَ بِحَلْقِ رُءُوسِنَا . مُخْتَصَرٌ .
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Ja'far said: "The Messenger of Allah stayed away from the family of Ja'far (when he died) for three days, then he came to them, and said: 'Do not weep for my brother after today.' Then he said: 'Call my brother's sons to me.' We were brought like little chicks, and he said: 'Call the barber for me.' Then he ordered that our heads be shaved."
