فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.

Revelation context of the surah
Surah-wideAdh-Dhariyat is Meccan, dated to the early-to-middle Meccan period. Opening with oaths, it insists on the certainty of the resurrection and the reckoning, and by affirming that provision belongs to God it warns Meccan society away from a life built on denial and heedlessness.
