Al-A'la 87:14

Surah al-A'la is Meccan, revealed in the early Meccan period. With the verse 'We shall make you recite, and you will not forget', it assures the Prophet, who was anxious to retain the revelation, that the Quran will be preserved. The surah highlights glorification of God, purification of the soul, and prayer, and by noting that this message is also found in the scrolls of Abraham and Moses it points to the continuity of the tradition of revelation.
