Juz 7 · Page 140

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

Context

Revelation context of the surah

Surah-wide

Al-An'am is Meccan, dated to the late Meccan period; classical reports state that most of it was revealed all at once. It mounts a sustained defense of monotheism against the polytheistic beliefs, idolatrous customs and objections to revelation raised by the Meccan pagans.
