مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِۦ سَٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ

In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

Al-Mu'minun is Meccan, dated to the late Meccan period. It opens by enumerating the qualities of the believers who attain success, and answers the pagans' objections to prophethood and resurrection with proofs drawn from creation.
