Al-Mutaffifin 83:12

The period of revelation of Surah al-Mutaffifin is disputed; according to the prevailing view it came down at the end of the Meccan period. A report from Ibn Abbas states that when the Prophet arrived in Medina, fraud in weights and measures was widespread, and the surah sternly warned those who cheat in measuring and weighing in that setting. It also announces that in the Hereafter the tables will be turned on the sinners who mocked the believers.
