وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًا

Revelation context of the surah
Surah-wideSurah an-Naba is Meccan, held to belong to the early Meccan phase. It takes as its theme 'the great news', addressing the Meccan polytheists who questioned and disputed with one another about the resurrection announced by the Quran. Pointing to the order of the universe as evidence, it declares that the Day of Reckoning is an appointed, certain time.
