Ash-Shu'ara 26:214

As narrated from Ibn Abbas in Bukhari, when the verse "And warn your nearest kindred" was revealed, the Prophet climbed the hill of Safa and summoned the clans of Quraysh one by one. He asked, "If I told you that horsemen were behind this mountain about to attack you, would you believe me?" They replied, "Yes, we have only ever known you to be truthful." He then said, "I am a warner to you of a severe punishment ahead." In Abu Hurayra's narration, he addressed his relatives one by one, saying, "Save yourselves from the Fire; I can avail you nothing before God."

Ash-Shu'ara is Meccan, dated to the middle Meccan period. It consoles the Prophet, grieved by his people's rejection, through the stories of earlier prophets who faced the same response, and closes by refuting the claim that the Quran is the word of a poet.
