At-Takwir 81:16

Surah at-Takwir is Meccan, revealed in the early Meccan period. With striking scenes of the Last Day opening with the folding up of the sun, it reminds the Meccans who denied the reckoning of the day when every soul will find its deeds present. Its second part affirms that the revelation was brought by a trustworthy messenger, Gabriel, rejecting the charge that the Prophet was 'possessed'; it also condemns the pre-Islamic custom of burying infant girls alive by announcing that they will be asked for what sin they were killed.
