إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا إِنَّمَا يَدْعُوا۟ حِزْبَهُۥ لِيَكُونُوا۟ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
Revelation context of the surah
Surah-wideFatir is Meccan, dated to the middle-to-late Meccan period. It expounds God's creative power and the signs of His might, and consoles the Prophet in the face of the deniers' obstinacy by reminding him that his duty is only to warn.
