وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ نَزْغٌ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Revelation context of the surah
Surah-wideFussilat is Meccan, dated to the middle-to-late Meccan period. Classical reports associate it with the episode in which Utba ibn Rabi'a, on behalf of the Quraysh, offered the Prophet wealth and status, and the Prophet answered by reciting this surah to him. It censures those who arrogantly stop their ears against the Quran.
